Arena - An Encounter Zone Overhaul is a new mod for skim created by Simon Sims Magus. It basically adds many new zones to skyrim with several challenges associated with them. They range from the usual city of Whiterun, to the frozen wastes of the ice north of the Throathered Mountains, all the way to the mysterious island of Solstheim.

Unlike other similar mods, this one provides a true leveling path through all the content in the game, including several brand new encounter zones and several objectives to complete in each of them. This means that you don't have to go it alone and level up your character one item at a time as you normally would with an RPG. In this mod, every area in the game, including the cities and wilderness areas, have their own unique floor plans and progress towards the main quest line. This means that you never have to worry about being killed as you traverse the game's landscape, instead you are always progressing toward the next objective without fighting or taking damage.

Arena - An Encounter Zone Overhaul also features several tweaks and bug fixes that make playing the game more enjoyable. Some of these include adjusting the level scaling from the vanilla game, balancing the XP rewards from quests and fighting against opponents, adjusting the stealth meter and the fog of war mechanic to increase the challenge, balancing the benefits received from various skills and abilities, and balancing the loot tables. It also features a brand new mini guide, which shows you various areas, objective, and locations within the game, as well as a quest log. This makes leveling faster and smoother, while keeping track of your progression throughout the game. This overhaul also allows you to increase your powers, skills, damage and defenses in a wide variety of ways, depending on which specific gear or character build that you choose.
